Grilled Bacon Ranch Potatoes

Bacon Ranch PotatoesSummer time is near and people are cleaning off the old bbq grills.  Here is an easy recipe that is sure to impress everyone at those picnics and family get-togethers.  I know of a couple different ways to make these bacon-ranch-potatoes and I am going to share them.

Method 1:
Ingredients:
3 sheets of heavy-duty foil
10-12 baby red potatoes, thinly sliced or cubed
6 slices of cooked and crumbled bacon
1 packet ranch dressing mix
Salt and pepper to taste
3 tablespoons butter
Sour cream for serving, if desired

Directions:
1. Spray each sheet of foil with cooking spray. Top each piece with equal portions of potatoes, bacon, and ranch dressing mix. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add 1 tablespoon of butter to each serving. Wrap securely.

2. Grill for 20 to 30 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Serve in foil, topped with sour cream if desired.

Ingredients:
3 sheets of heavy-duty foil
potatoes, sliced in wedges
uncooked bacon slices
1 packet ranch dressing mix
Salt and pepper to taste
3 tablespoons butter
Sour cream for serving, if desired

Directions:
1. Spray each sheet of foil with cooking spray. Wrap a piece of bacon around each potato wedge.  Place 2 or 3 potato wedges on each piece of foil.  Sprinkle ranch dressing mix on top. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add 1 tablespoon of butter to each serving. Wrap securely.

2. Grill for 20 to 30 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Serve in foil, topped with sour cream if desired.

potatoesTips to try:
Remove the foil packs from the grill, add a handful of your favorite shredded cheese, and reclose the foil pack.  Let the potatoes set for 5 to 10 minutes.  Now you have yummy cheesy bacon ranch potatoes!

If you do not have the powder ranch seasoning, use ranch salad dressing or Mrs. Dash seasonings instead.  Add a handful of chives/chopped green onion.
