Cucumber Dressing

I was going through an old recipe book that belonged to my great aunt and found several recipes that had been cut out of newspapers, magazines, and food packages.  This is simple recipe that caught my eye.

Cucumber Dressing

3 medium cucumbers
3 small onions
¼ cup sugar
¼ cup lemon juice
¼ tsp monosodium glutamate (optional)
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
¼ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp green food coloring (optional)
1 quart mayonnaise

Grind cucumbers and onions.  Drain juice well.  Add sugar, lemon juice, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings.  Optional – add monosodium glutamate and food coloring.  Stir until smooth and chill until ready to serve.

Warning!!  Monosodium glutamate (MSG) can trigger migraines in some people.
