Natural Acne Treatment!

I have been fighting acne since pre-puberty and have many of the products available without success. I have to be careful of the products that I use because I have combination skin, meaning part of my skin is oily and part is really dry. My main problem areas are under my eyes, across my nose, and my chin – basically the lower half of my face. I occasionally get a pimple or two on my forehead but not very often. In searching for an acne treatment that actually works, I came across a natural cleansing method that I thought I would give it a try.

What you will need: half a lemon (any size), a couple drops of honey, and water.
Step 1: Here is your basic first step for any cleaning method. Wash your face with warm water and dry. Do not use any soaps or cleaner. The warm water will help open your pores, which allows the cleaning process to work better.

Step 2: Take the half of lemon and add the drops of honey. Only use one or two drops of honey so that it does not run off of the lemon. Rub the lemon with honey in circles over your problem areas. It doesn’t matter which direction your circles are going – clock-wise or counter-clock-wise. Since it is hard to rub circles on your nose, I prefer going straight up and down when covering my nose but you can find a method that works best for you.

Step 3: Let the lemon/honey mix dry on your face for a couple of minutes, then repeat the rubbing process. Feel free to squeeze the lemon to get more juice out. Warning – be careful to not let the juice run into your eyes. It will sting and burn! It is okay if the mixture gets into your mouth since you are using natural products instead of a chemical treatment. Let the mixture dry again. Depending on how much time you have, you can repeat the process a third time.

Step 4: Rinse the mixture off with cold water and dry. The cold water will help reduce the size of your pores so that existing pimples look smaller and it makes it harder for dirt to get into the smaller pores. Make sure you wash off any of the mixture that has run down onto your neck and chest areas. Also check your hairline for any pieces of lemon that may have worked their way off of your face.

You are done with this natural acne treatment! For best results, repeat the cleaning process twice a day. I don’t recommend reusing the half of lemon unless you cut a slice off and use the fresh surface, depending on how much squeezing you have done.

I have been using this treatment for a couple weeks now and I noticed an instant reduction in the visibility of blackheads across my nose and chin. I highly recommend trying this treatment for anyone who has not had much luck with the chemical treatments that are out on the market.
